Born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin more than 35 years ago, Lakewood began with founder Bob Metropolis and a simple idea—combine the spirit of the outdoors into every case. The name itself is a nod to that passion: "Lake" for water and fishing, "Wood”for hunting and shooting. Over the years, Lakewood has passed through the hands of family businesses, grown with the support of Midwest Textile, and, as of 2025, proudly joined the Cases By Source family. Through it all, we’ve stayed true to our Wisconsin roots, evolving with new materials and technologies to make our cases tougher, smarter, and stronger than ever.
