Why musky baits need a different box
Musky tackle breaks every assumption a normal tackle box makes. The baits are long, heavy, and armed with big trebles, and they cost enough that losing one to rust or a tangle hurts. Every case on this page starts from that reality: hang the baits, separate the hooks, keep them dry, and make the whole thing tough enough to live in a boat.

Baits that don't fit trays
Standard tackle trays are cut for bass baits. A musky bucktail runs 8 to 12 inches, and glide baits and rubber go bigger. These boxes are built around full-height hanging dividers, so blades, skirts, and tails hang straight instead of folding into a tray they were never meant for.

Which size do I actually need?
Count your baits and add room to grow: 100+ → Monster, a full boat rotation → Medium (80), tight compartments → Upright (50), fly-ins and floats → Junior (20). Most serious musky anglers end up running two.
Will it fit my boat compartment?
Check the outside dims on each box above; they're listed without the side pockets. The Upright's 8.5″ beam is the compartment-friendly pick; the Monster wants a dedicated corner of the deck.
Do they really float?
Yes. Fully zipped and loaded with baits. It's a purchase reason owners volunteer unprompted.
What's included?
Adjustable and solid hanging dividers, bucktail rails and a bait-retrieval hook (Monster, Medium, Upright), zippered side pockets, and front ballistic tool pockets. The rear pocket fits a 3700-style tray (tray not included).
Where are they made, and what's the warranty?
Sewn in Wisconsin, USA, and backed by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Boxes in the survey have been fishing for a decade-plus.
Heavier than a regular tackle box?
Yes, and on purpose: ABS walls wrapped in ballistic fabric weigh more than blow-molded plastic. As one owner put it: heavier than expected, but worth it.
